2008 Town BBQ

Town BBQ Once upon a time there was a fine southern gentleman who ran his family store after generations of his family having operated it for more than 100 years. This gentleman was very grateful to the town people for supporting his general merchandise and decided to say, "thank you" by holding a barbeque. A few more town folks thought this was a good idea and decided to help him. Charlie Ward was the fine southern gentleman and the "other town folk" is made up of everyone who wants to chip in and help. That's how Saluda's town BBQ started. Charlie finally retired but the BBQ is still held usually sometime in September. And of course, Charlie is always there.
